Kacır: We Have Established the 13th OSB for Ankara and the 363rd for Our Country with Beypazarı OSB
The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, commented on the newly established Beypazarı Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), stating, "During the AK Party governments, we increased the number of our OSBs from 191 to 363, the number of industrial plots in production from 11,000 to 59,000, and employment in our OSBs from 415,000 to over 2.7 million. With the recent reforms we have made in OSB applications, we will carry our production effort much further. We will accelerate our country’s development journey with our solid, sustainable, and planned industrial areas."
Minister Kacır evaluated the granting of legal status to Beypazarı OSB through his social media account on platform X. In his message, he stated, "We continue to expand industrial areas and increase Turkey's production capacity. With the establishment of Beypazarı Organized Industrial Zone, we have brought the 13th OSB to Ankara and the 363rd OSB to our country. May our OSB, which is 130 hectares in size, be beneficial for all industrialists, our capital Ankara, and our country. BEYPAZARI OSB BECAME TURKEY'S 363RD OSB
With the granting of legal status to Beypazarı OSB by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the total number of OSBs in Turkey has increased to 363. When there were 191 OSBs in Turkey in 2002, 172 new OSBs were established between the years 2003-2024 due to the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Thus, the total number of OSBs reached 363.
Of the 84,261 plots available in OSBs, 70,123 have been allocated to industrialists. Production activities are ongoing in 59,052 of these plots. Approximately 2.7 million people are employed in these plots. By allocating the vacant plots, the total employment is aimed to reach 3.5 million people.
With the newly established Beypazarı OSB, which spans 130 hectares, the total number of OSBs has reached 363, covering an area of approximately 120,000 hectares.
