Tupras' Kırıkkale Refinery Initiates EIA Process for Unlicensed Solar Power Project
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has commenced for the unlicensed solar energy plant project planned by Tüpraş (IS:TUPRS) at the Kırıkkale Refinery.
In a statement published on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permission and Supervision, the following information was provided: "The TÜPRAŞ KIRIKKALE REFINERY UNLICENSED SOLAR ENERGY PLANT (GES) project (50 MWp/50 MWe - 84.3 ha) planned by TÜRKİYE PETROL RAFİNERİLERİ A.Ş. for parcels 48, 49, 50, 54, and 55 at the Kırıkkale Central District, Hacılar/Altınova Neighborhood, has been examined in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. It has been determined that the EIA Application File submitted to our Ministry is prepared in compliance with the EIA General Format, and the EIA Process for the project has been initiated. Until the Environmental Impact Assessment process is complete, all information related to the process and any opinions, questions, and suggestions regarding the project can be sent to the Kırıkkale Governorate (Department of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change) or the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change."
