Kacır: 70% of the Drone Market is in Turkey
The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, stated that Elon Musk, the owner of the social media platform X, shared, “There are still those who believe that these great manned projects will exist in the future, but the future is drones.” He emphasized, “Today, 70% of the unmanned aerial vehicle market in the world is in Turkey. The children of this nation, with Bayraktar, Akıncı, ANKA, Aksungur, Hürkuş, Hürjet, ATAK, Gökbey, KAAN, and Kızılelma, are signing the skies with the signature of the Turkish nation.”
Minister Kacır met with 183 branch presidents of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD). In his speech here, recalling Elon Musk’s remark about the future of great manned projects versus the rise of drones, Kacır stated, “Turkey is the number one country he is referring to regarding that future. Today, 70% of the unmanned aerial vehicle market in the world is in Turkey. Until recently, we did not describe what a drone was with these words. Until a short time ago, we used to call UAVs Heron. When we thought of UAVs, we only associated it with İhlas News Agency (IS:IHAAS). Look where we are today; the children of this nation, with Bayraktar, Akıncı, ANKA, Aksungur, Hürkuş, Hürjet, ATAK, Gökbey, KAAN, and Kızılelma, are signing the skies with the signature of the Turkish nation today. This has been made possible thanks to our ability to capture the paradigm shift.”
