Amazon Workers Plan Global Protests on Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Some Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) employees and activists from 20 countries are preparing to strike or protest on Black Friday and Cyber Monday as part of the "Make Amazon Pay" demonstrations. This will mark the fifth consecutive protest and strike organized by Amazon workers due to poor working conditions at the company. The demonstrations are set to take place from Friday through Monday. Organizers have demanded that Amazon provide fair pay to its workers, respect their rights to unionize, pay its fair share of taxes, and commit to environmental sustainability. Christy Hoffman, General Secretary of UNI Global Union, stated in a press release, "Amazon's relentless pursuit of profit is costing workers, the environment, and democracy."
