ZTE has chosen Turkey as the host country for its largest global event, the 5G Summit and User Congress, which will take place in 2024. Held with the theme "Achieving Success with Smart Innovations," this year's event in Turkey offered a global perspective on the future of 5G and digital technologies.

Netaş (IS:NETAS), one of Turkey's most competent technology companies with extensive experience in information and communication technologies, hosted ZTE’s largest global event, the ZTE 5G Summit and User Congress 2024, at the Çırağan Kempinski in Istanbul on November 5-6, 2024. The event drew significant interest from leaders in the telecommunications sector and international participants.

The summit began with a keynote speech titled "Digital Bridge of Civilizations: Connection Between Carbon and Silicon" by ZTE CEO Xu Ziyang, followed by an opening address from Ömer Fatih Sayan, Turkey's Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure. The event brought together industry organizations, standardization bodies, operators, think tanks, industry partners, analysts, and other global ecosystem players.

Over 700 participants from approximately 40 countries across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America witnessed ZTE's technological innovations in telecommunications, information technologies, and end-user devices at the summit. Visionary leaders and analysts from prestigious organizations like GSMA, 3GPP, FTTH Council Europe, and GTI (Global TD-LTE Initiative) gathered with leading partners in the industry such as Qualcomm to exchange valuable insights. The collective objective was to promote progress through smart innovations and develop a robust ecosystem, from GSMA's vision of "Smart Innovations for a Brighter Future" to Qualcomm's commitment to supporting popular devices.

The first day of the summit featured discussions on the new possibilities offered by 5G, artificial intelligence, and next-generation network technologies with senior executives from various operators and telecom organizations, alongside global futurists as speakers.

Turkcell (IS:TCELL) CEO Ali Taha Koç shared his insights on the innovations and applications of 5G and beyond technologies, as well as his R&D vision for the future. Türk Telekom (IS:TTKOM) CNO Zafer Orhan outlined example scenarios and strategic goals for 5G technologies, providing significant evaluations regarding industry developments.

The event, which attracted interest from both Turkey's leading telecom operators and international operators, offered participants in-depth information on the integration of 5G into business processes and the opportunity to closely learn about the innovative solutions offered by ZTE. The panels and presentations held throughout the event facilitated valuable exchanges on innovative strategies within the telecommunications sector by bringing together leading figures in the field.

During the "Smart Innovation" themed panel on the first day, Netaş CEO Sinan Dumlu shared his visions for the telecommunications and information technology sector with international participants on the same stage. He highlighted that the impact of new technologies initially appears to be fast but relatively smaller and elaborated on the three recent "convergences" experienced, indicating that the real impact of genuinely new technologies is relatively slower but much larger.

In the Server Technologies Session on the second day, Sinan Dumlu, presenting on Server Modernization, emphasized the importance of servers as the main processing power for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and application software, underlining the significance of the domestically produced Netaş server.

Netaş introduced several products from its local product portfolio, including Turkey's first domestic server, Netaş Cloud Server, alongside ZTE’s cutting-edge products and solutions, as well as Visium Shell (LON:RDSa) and V2X, on an international scale.

Expressing the event's significant importance in showcasing Turkey's strategic relevance, Netaş CEO Sinan Dumlu remarked, "Through this important event, we once again highlighted our technological strength with our partner ZTE and our goals of bringing our domestic products and solutions to global markets. We had the opportunity to introduce ZTE's high-tech products to Turkish customers while presenting Netaş products and services, which complement ZTE solutions, to numerous foreign telecom operators and institutions. This event is of great importance as a concrete example of the value Netaş creates in technology and its mission to advance Turkey."

ZTE Europe and Americas President Peng Aiguang expressed their delight in holding the ZTE 5G Summit and User Conference in a strategically positioned area like Turkey, stating, "At ZTE, we continue to offer solutions that integrate artificial intelligence, 5G, and advanced technologies to drive development across all areas of the digital world. Strengthening Turkey's position in this transformation and enhancing our inter-industry collaboration is one of our top priorities. Together with Netaş, we aim to create an ecosystem that accelerates digital transformation and makes the benefits of smart innovation accessible to all. Netaş's local insights, R&D capacity, and technology advancements greatly enhance our collaborative efforts."
