Evening Session Canceled on November 29 Due to Price Step Change in VIOP

Due to changes in price steps for certain futures contracts traded on the Futures and Options Market (VİOP), there will be no evening session on Friday, November 29, 2024. According to a statement from Borsa İstanbul, the start date for the minimum price step changes has been updated to December 2, 2024, to allow market participants to complete their preparations.

The announcement indicated that under the change, pending Good-‘Til-Canceled (GTC) and Date (TAR) orders in the system for the Futures contracts of Shares, BIST 30, BIST Non-Banking Liquid 10, BIST Liquid Bank, and BIST Sustainability 25 Index, USD/TRY, EUR/TRY, TRY/Gram Gold, Dollar/Ounce Gold, Dollar/Ounce Platinum, and Dollar/Ounce Palladium will be canceled by the Exchange at the end of November 29, 2024.

In a previous announcement made on October 31, 2024, it was stated that the price steps would be implemented as of November 1, 2024, and that the evening session would not take place on October 31. However, with the date update, the evening session on October 31 was conducted as usual, and the relevant orders were not canceled.

This change, made as part of market regulations, aims to enable investors to carry out their trading processes in a healthier manner.
