Global Crude Steel Production Increased by 0.4% in October, 0.7% in Turkey

According to the World Steel Association, global crude steel production rose to 151.2 million tons in October, marking a 0.4% increase compared to the same month last year.

Data from Worldsteel indicates that China's crude steel production, the largest producer in the world, increased by 2.9% to 81.9 million tons, making the most significant impact on the global increase.

In the same month, India's production rose by 1.7% to 12.5 million tons, while Japan's production fell by 7.8% to 6.9 million tons, the United States' production decreased by 2.0% to 6.6 million tons, Russia's production dropped by 15.2% to 5.6 million tons, South Korea's production decreased by 18.3% to 4.5 million tons, and Germany's production increased by 14.7% to 3.2 million tons.

Turkey's production saw a 0.7% increase, reaching 3.0 million tons.

In the first 10 months of the year, global crude steel production fell by 1.6% to 1.5466 billion tons.

During this period, production in China remained at 850.7 million tons, a decrease of 3.0%, while India's production rose by 5.6% to 123.0 million tons.

Turkey's production increased by 12.4%, making it one of the countries with the highest growth, bringing its total production to 30.9 million tons.
