How Did Borsa Istanbul Start the Day? Which Stocks Stood Out at the Opening?
The BIST 100 index started the day with a slight increase of 0.1%, at 9,377.49 points.
The BIST 100 experienced a significant leap in yesterday's trading, rising by 3.72% to close the day at 9,367.77 points. The dovish tone in the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (TCMB) statement and the growing expectation that the interest rate cut process may begin in December accelerated purchases in the stock market. As a result of yesterday's rise, the index also exceeded 270 dollars in dollar terms. A trading volume of 103.35 billion TL was recorded for the BIST 100 yesterday, accounting for 78.68% of the total volume. Only 5 of the stocks included in the index closed the day in negative territory.
As the day begins with a slightly positive and horizontal outlook, among the sub-sectors, technology, metal, and insurance were the top gainers in the early transactions. Real estate and tourism were among the sectors that started the day with declines. Banks, which made significant gains yesterday, moved positively by 0.25% in the first hour, while holding companies moved negatively by the same rate.

Across Borsa Istanbul, along with KOZAL, IPEKE and HATSN were the top gainers in the first hour. On the other hand, DIRIT, EUKYO, and EDATA shares opened with declines around 5%.
In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL started the day with an increase of around 0.3%, at 34.58. The Euro/TL remained stable at around 36.3, while the gram gold rose close to 1.5% to reach 2,995 TL.
In international markets, European and U.S. indices closed positively yesterday. In the morning hours, while Chinese indices moved downward in Asia, the rest of Asia was preparing for a positive close. European and U.S. futures continued their positive trend.
