The potential appointment was discussed on Wednesday between Trump and Warsh, a former investment banker who has served at the Fed, at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence. Additionally, Trump is considering bringing in hedge fund investor Scott Bessent, who has taught at Yale University for many years, to head the White House National Economic Council before nominating Warsh for the Treasury position.
